Steps Ahead Dancing has always been based in the Chadwell Heath area and is an established school going back many years.
The school was founded by Dot and Tommy Aldcroft and was formally called the ALDCROFT TAYLOR SCHOOL OF DANCING.
They were established dancers and won many competitions at the top level, dancing on many occasions for their country as part of the British team in many different countries around the world.

The School wanted to stay ahead with the times and so took on its new name STEPS AHEAD SCHOOL OF DANCING in 1999 when Martin the Principal Teacher took over the school.

As well as running many different Dance classes in the area we also work with Sainsburys Active Kids bringing Dance into many local Primary Schools to help with active learning and movement which suits many different children at all levels to keep Active and have fun which is one of the new aims of the goverment.

We also work for Redbridge Sports Partnership to bring Dance into the local Primary Schools in the area. Children can then continue their learning at one of our own classes at Steps Ahead outside of school if they wish to further their own Dancing skills. This can help in their future GCSE exams in Dance or PE.

We now have many after school Dance clubs each week around the Local Area.
